The Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Bello M. Sani, has presented cheques amounting to N4,400,000 to eight families of deceased police officers in the state. According to a press release made available to newsmen by CSP Nafiu Abubakar, Police Public Relations Officer, Kebbi State Command, on Wednesday, in Birnin Kebbi, the cheques were presented on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D, NPM.
The presentation ceremony was attended by the Deputy Commissioner of Police Administration, DCP Aminu Babale, psc, mnips, who represented the Commissioner of Police. While presenting the cheques, DCP Babale advised the beneficiaries to utilize the token optimally for the benefit of their entire family members. "Do something substantial in solving your immediate problems and progress of your academic career," he counseled. The Deputy Commissioner of Police also prayed for the gentle souls of the departed police officers to have eternal rest and give their immediate families and friends the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The beneficiaries appreciated the IGP's kind gesture and magnanimity. On their behalf, Kamal Abubakar expressed gratitude and appreciation, saying, "We praise and appreciate the IGP's kind gesture and magnanimity towards us and pray for the Almighty Allah to continue to increase him, the Commissioner of Police, and officers and men of the Kebbi State Police Command, with more health, wealth, wisdom, and strength to pilot the affairs of the Nigeria Police Force effectively."
