"Kebbi Police Recover Stolen Motorcycles, Electrical Cables from Vandals"

Birnin Kebbi, June 17, 2025 – The Kebbi State Police Command has foiled an attempt by suspected vandals to steal high-tension electrical cables, recovering motorcycles and cables in the process. The incident occurred on June 16, 2025, at about 6:30 am, along Saki/Unashi road in Ribah district, Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

According to eyewitnesses, the suspected vandals abandoned their motorcycles and fled upon sighting a combined team of policemen and vigilantes on patrol. The police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the incident, with a view to unraveling the circumstances surrounding the attempted theft.

The Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Bello M Sani, commended the commitment and professionalism of the team involved in foiling the attempted theft. "The efforts of the team are highly commendable, and I urge them to sustain the tempo," CP Sani said.

The police command is working to identify and apprehend the suspects involved in the attempted theft. "Credible investigation into the case is ongoing, and all parties involved will be brought to book," CSP Abubakar said.
