"Kebbi Govt Boosts NYSC Members' Welfare with N20m Donation"

Birnin Kebbi, June 13, 2025 – The Kebbi State Government has donated N20 million to members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to improve their welfare at the camp. Governor Nasir Idris announced the donation on Saturday during a visit to the NYSC Orientation Camp, Dakingari.

The Governor also donated three hefty bulls to the corps members to enhance their protein intake during their national service. "Today, I'm the happiest person, I've been eager to come to Dakingari to see my Corpers face-to-face, no responsible leader will see this gathering without being happy," he said.

Comrade Nasir Idris commended the corps members for their orderliness, cleanliness, and togetherness, reflective of the essence of establishing the scheme to strengthen Nigeria's unity. "There's no problem in Kebbi State, Kebbi is safe, therefore none of you should seek redeployment elsewhere, my administration will sustain the provision of the most conducive environment for Corpers to remain and serve in the state," he assured.

The Governor also promised to address the problems associated with the orientation camp. "I have been informed about the problems associated with the orientation camp, the government will address them squarely to make sure that we provide whatever is required," he said.

On behalf of the Kebbi State Government, Governor Nasir Idris donated the sum of N20 million to the corps members in the camp and three additional bulls to uplift their wellbeing. "I will do everything necessary to make you happy, Kebbi is your second home, you should feel absolutely free," he added.

The Kebbi NYSC Coordinator, Bala Dabo, Turakin Kagarko, expressed immense appreciation for the level of assistance rendered by Governor Nasir Idris to the NYSC since assumption of power. "Sir, we are grateful for your moral and material support, we remain loyal and supportive to your administration," Dabo said.
