"Elrufai's Coalition Bid Slammed by Gbagyi Nationality"

By Abdullahi Alhassan, Kaduna

The Gbagyi Nationality, a group representing the Gbagyi people of Kaduna State, has slammed former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasiru Ahmad Elrufai, over his recent coalition to unseat President Bola Ahmad Tinubu in 2027. The group expressed deep concern and worry over Elrufai's utterances and actions, which they believe are aimed at destabilizing the polity and threatening democracy.

Addressing a press conference at the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Kaduna, Benjamin Chayinta George, the leader of the Gbagyi Nationality, said the group is responding to Elrufai's coalition agitation and unwarranted attacks on President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani. George noted that Elrufai's actions are motivated by his loss of ministerial position in President Tinubu's cabinet, which has left him inconsolable and unleashing verbal attacks on the administration.

Mr. Benjamin George highlighted Elrufai's track record as Governor of Kaduna State, which he described as autocratic and destructive. He cited instances of Elrufai's destruction of houses, marginalization, and discrimination against southern Kaduna people, and his failure to address problems of banditry and develop infrastructure in the state. George also recalled Elrufai's demolishing of market stalls, unlawful arrests of innocent persons, and threats to journalists.

The Gbagyi Nationality leader called on the good people of Kaduna and Nigeria to ignore Elrufai's utopian postulations and evil machinations under the guise of a selfish coalition. He described Elrufai as a thoroughbred evil man with a high sense of capitalist orientation against the masses and urged that he be stopped. George maintained that the Gbagyi nation and the Middle Belt will never be part of any coalition orchestrated by Elrufai and his cohorts against President Tinubu.

George expressed the Gbagyi Nationality's full support for President Tinubu and Governor Sani, who he said are addressing the problems inherited from their predecessors. He noted that Nigerians are wise enough to know that Elrufai will do anything to grab power and then turn against the same people that gave him the power.
