The Maigari of Lokoja, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi, the fourth, has called for obedience to Allah's instructions as Muslims mark Eid-el-Kabir. Alhaji Gambo Kabir made the call on Friday in his Palace while addressing his subjects.
The Royal father admonished Muslims to always imbibe the lessons of love, tolerance, holiness, and generosity and obedience as displayed by the Prophet. He felicitated with the Muslim Ummah, the government and people of Kogi State, and the people of Lokoja Local Government in particular on the Eid-el-Kabir celebration. According to the traditional ruler, "Muslims are expected to use this festive season to reflect on the relevance of this season, show love to all, be obedient and pray for all, the people, government, and leaders," he stated.
The Maigari of Lokoja also enjoined well-to-do individuals to assist the less privileged at this time of celebration, explaining that such virtue attracts much reward. He appealed to the Muslims to celebrate with ease, urging the people to pray more at this festive period for the government and those in positions of authority for divine guidance.
The Maigari felicitated with the Chief Servant of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and commended the leadership and vision of the Governor on the transformational leadership. He described the debt cancellation of about one hundred billion naira as heartwarming, saying it is first of its kind.
While wishing the Muslim Ummah a successful celebration, the Maigari prayed for Allah's guidance and equally prayed for peace, divine guidance, and good health for the entire Muslims during and after the festive period.
