"Historic Achievement: Zamfara State University's 28 Programmes Accredited"

Talata-Mafara, Zamfara State - The National Universities Commission (NUC) has accredited all 28 academic programmes for Zamfara State University, Talata-Mafara, in a recent exercise held between 16th and 26th February, 2025.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Yahya A. Zakari, announced the development on behalf of the university's management and senate, expressing delight that 20 programmes received full accreditation with excellent scores, while 8 programmes received interim accreditation. This achievement is a testament to the university's commitment to academic excellence and quality education.

Some of the accredited programmes include BNSc. Nursing Science, BSc. Public Health, BSc. Physiotherapy, BSc. Human Nutrition and Dietetics, BSc. Computer Science, BSc. Biology, BSc. Geology, BSc. Mass Communication, BSc. Economics, and BSc. Electronics, among others.

The university's management extended its gratitude to the Zamfara State Government for its unwavering support and dedication, which has been instrumental in achieving this significant milestone. "The provision of the necessary funds and resources has been instrumental in achieving this significant milestone," the management stated.

Specifically, the management thanked Governor Dauda Lawal for his attention to the needs of the university, enabling it to meet all accreditation requirements effectively.
