"COAS Oluyede's Achievements: NCMN Urges Continued Support for Nigerian Army"

The President of the Nineteen Seventeen Northern Consensus Movement of Nigeria (NCMN), Dr. Awwal Aliyu Abdullahi, has highlighted the notable achievements of Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede. In a statement, Dr. Awwal commended General Oluyede for his efforts to enhance the security capacity, infrastructure, training, equipping, and administration of the Army.

Dr. Awwal listed some of the COAS's achievements, including the completion and commissioning of the Nigerian Army College of Logistics (NACOL), renovation of soldiers' accommodations in Division Jos, and commissioning of 23 SER Headquarters in Jos. Additionally, the COAS has renovated and commissioned soldiers' accommodations and Brigade Commanders' Residences in Ikeja Cantonment, Lagos.

The NCMN president also noted that General Oluyede has taken measures to improve the welfare of troops and their families. These measures include increment of soldiers' RCA, renovation and construction of schools, and issue of modern equipment to units. The COAS has also approved local and foreign medical treatment for Nigerian Army personnel and sponsored local and foreign training for officers and soldiers.

Dr. Awwal maintained that the Nigerian Army, under General Oluyede's leadership, indicates aggressive development, behavioral, and tactical change in the fight against insecurity. This development has led to high morale among troops and enhancement of patriotism, nationalism, love for the country, and general discipline.

The NCMN president commended Lieutenant General Oluyede for his dedication and commitment to the Nigerian Army's effectiveness and welfare. He emphasized that as citizens, it is their civic responsibility to consistently support the COAS, the Nigerian Army, and the Armed Forces for success.

Dr. Awwal urged Nigerians to support the COAS and the Nigerian Army in their efforts to combat insecurity and promote national development. He expressed confidence that with continued support, the Nigerian Army would continue to make significant progress in the fight against insecurity.
