Kebbi State Benefits from Tinubu's Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway Project

The Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi, has reiterated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's commitment to completing the Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway, a project that will significantly boost economic growth and connectivity in Nigeria. Umahi made this remark during an inspection visit to the project site in Janzomo village, near Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, where work is ongoing.

"Kebbi State has the longest stretch of the project, totaling 258 kilometers. President Tinubu is committed to completing this as his Legacy Project," Umahi said. He also revealed that the President has approved 30% contract fees, demonstrating his love for the people of Kebbi, who are at the heart of the North West.

Umahi expressed satisfaction with the project's progress, praising the contracting firm, HITECH, for its ability, capability, and capacity to deliver. "The company has the right modern equipment on the ground, second to none in West Africa, to execute the whole length of the 1,068 kilometers Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway," he said.

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State also commended President Tinubu for executing the project and other legacy landmark development programs in the state. "We remain committed to the vision of the President, and the people of the state are in support of your administration beyond 2027," Idris said. He assured that his administration would create an enabling environment for the company to attain optimal performance in constructing the road project.

Other dignitaries, including the Minister for Budget and Economic Planning, Sen. Atiku Bagudu, and the Managing Director of HITECH, Mr. Dany Abboud, made separate remarks, commending President Tinubu for delivering the dividends of democracy to Nigerians.
