Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria (MULAN) Kebbi State Branch Inaugurates New Execs, Hosts AI Lecture on Feb 9

The Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria (MULAN), Kebbi State Branch, is set to hold its inauguration ceremony for new executive officers, a lecture, and an awards presentation in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State. This was disclosed in a program of events issued by the Publicity Secretary, Lawal Hudu Garba ESQ, to Series News Online correspondent in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday.

According to the program, the lecture will focus on "Artificial Intelligence in Nigeria: Legal Aspects, Challenges, and Benefits to the Ummah." The keynote speaker, Professor M. L. Ahmadu, Vice Chancellor of Rayhaan University, Birnin Kebbi, will deliver the lecture on February 9, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at the Rayhaan University Auditorium Hall.

The event is expected to attract several dignitaries, including the keynote speaker, Professor M. L. Ahmadu; Special Guest of Honour, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris; Chairman of the Occasion, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Kebbi State, Junaidu Bello Mashall, PhD; Chief Host, Grand Kadi, Kebbi State, Kadi Sadiq Usman Mukhtar; and Guest of Honour, Kebbi State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Umar Abubakar.

Other expected guests include the National President of MULAN, Saidu Muhammad Tudunwada ESQ; Royal Father of the Day, His Royal Highness Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar, Rtd CFR, Mni, the Emir of Gwandu and Chairman Kebbi State Council of Chiefs; and several other dignitaries from within and outside the state.

The association will also present awards to several distinguished personalities, including:

- Hon. Chief Judge Kebbi State, Hon. Justice Umar Abubakar

- Grand Kadi, Hon. Kadi Sadiq Usman Mukhtar

- Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Kebbi State, Junaidu Bello Mashall PhD.

As stated by the Publicity Secretary, Lawal Hudu Garba ESQ, the event promises to be a memorable one, with several notable personalities in attendance. The association is committed to promoting the interests of Muslim lawyers in Nigeria and promoting the rule of law and justice in the country.
