Members of the Correspondent's Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kebbi State Chapter have assured Governor Nasir Idris of their committed support, provided he sustains his efforts in transforming the socio-economic fortunes of Kebbi State.

The representatives of media organizations with a national outlook in the state commended the governor's foresight in initiating impactful developmental programs and projects. They advised him to remain focused, unshakeable, and not be misled. "The development recorded in every sector within two years is remarkable and an indication of his commitment to peace, unity, and service delivery in the state," said Comrade Kabiru Wurma, Chairman of the Chapel.

Wurma, who is also a correspondent of the Leadership Newspaper, expressed confidence in the capacity and professional ability of Abdullahi Idris Sadaukin Zuru, Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy to the governor. They described Zuru as a veteran journalist, role model, active unionist, and effective image maker with a track record of exemplary performance and leadership.

The Chapel requested government assistance in providing working materials and improving welfare to serve as a morale booster and encouragement for effective service. In response, Zuru thanked them for the visit, expression of confidence, and their preparedness to support Governor Idris' determination to change the narrative of the state's socio-economic and political development.

This show of support comes after Governor Idris was honored as the Grand Patron of the NUJ Kebbi State Council, in recognition of his achievements in infrastructure development and inclusive approach to governance
