The 2025 Yauri Rigatta and Cultural Festival is scheduled to take place from February 13th to 15th, 2025, in Yauri, Kebbi State. The event promises to be a spectacular showcase of the region's rich heritage, featuring an agricultural fair, cultural performances, and water displays.

According to Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, Secretary to the Kebbi State Government and National Chairman of the Festival, the Rigatta Committee has been engaging with organizations and foreign embassies to attract investments into Yauri, leveraging its potential as a mining hub. "During our recent visit to China with the State Governor, an investor indicated interest to bring $200 million worth of investment to Yauri," he revealed.

The festival's significance extends beyond entertainment, as highlighted by Tafida's remarks on the Hippopotamus donated to Governor Nasir Idris by the Emir during last year's Rigatta. "Hippo is our identity, what you love most is what you give to whom you love most, that's the significance of donating the animal to our cherished Governor," he explained.

This year's festival marks the 4th edition under the patronage of the Emir of Yauri, Professor Muhammadu Zayyanu Abdullahi. Governor Nasir Idris, who has been conferred with the traditional title of Gamjin Yauri, has pledged to ensure the festival's continued success.

The press briefing has attracted notable personalities, including the Executive Chairmen of Yauri, Ngaski, and Shanga Local Government Councils, as well as traditional leaders such as the Galadiman Yauri, Ubandoman Yauri, and Sardaunar Yauri.

As the festival prepares to kick off, the people of Yauri Emirate are eager to showcase their rich cultural heritage to the world. With its unique blend of traditional music, dance, and art, the 2025 Yauri Rigatta and Cultural Festival is an event not to be missed.
