"Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass's 49th Maulud: Clerics, Monarchs Pray for Peace, Prosperity"

Renowned Islamic scholars and monarchs from across Nigeria and Africa converged in Bauchi over the weekend to mark the 49th Annual Maulud of Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass. The event, held at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, brought together prominent clerics from Nigeria and other African countries, including Senegal, Morocco, Algeria, Mali, Ghana, and Niger.

Sheikh Mahiy Ibrahim Nyass, the eldest son of Nyass, emphasized the significance of the gathering, stating that it "clearly indicates the unprecedented followers of the Prophet of Islam in Nigeria, signalling that the religion would continue to take centre stage in global affairs." He urged Nigerians to pray fervently for their leaders, seeking an end to the calamities affecting the country and humanity.

The Bauchi state government, led by Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, and Sheikh Dahiru  Usman Bauchi, leader of the Tijjaniyya faithful, were commended for hosting the global event. Sheikh Mahiy Ibrahim Nyass prayed for God to reward them abundantly for their accommodative nature.
The 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, also spoke at the event, urging Nigerians to continue praying for peace and peaceful co-existence among the country's diverse ethnic groups. "We are calling on our subjects and disciples to continue praying to our clerics and community leaders for God to help them desirably lead to the Ummah righteousness," he said.

The Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, emphasized the need for Muslims to stand on the path of the Prophet and His Creator, praying for peace to reign supreme in the country and globally. He also urged Muslims to exhibit good deeds and exemplary behavior in their daily lives.

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed expressed gratitude to the organizers for choosing Bauchi State as the venue and for their continuous prayers for peace and development. He reiterated his administration's commitment to providing more dividends of democracy and enhancing the welfare of Islamic scholars. The governor also highlighted the importance of collaboration between government and religious leaders in achieving sustainable progress and harmony.

The First Lady of Bauchi State, Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed, lauded the organizers for their dedication to spreading knowledge and fostering spiritual growth within the community. Sayyadi Ibrahim Dahiru Usman Bauchi welcomed the guests, expressing delight that the Maulud occasion had strengthened brotherhood among the Muslims Ummah, particularly among the descendants and disciples of Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass.
