Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, has approved the release of N925,677,332.47 for the payment of gratuity and death benefits to 367 beneficiaries. This approval was disclosed in a circular issued by the Office of the State Head of Service and signed by Rashid Muhammad Bala.
The payment will cover beneficiaries from the state, contract staff, local governments, and Local Government Education Authority, who served between July 16 and September 15, 2024. This gesture underscores Governor Idris's commitment to the welfare of serving and retired civil servants in the state.
The approval is a significant step towards recognizing the contributions of public servants and their families. Governor Idris has demonstrated his dedication to the well-being of civil servants, as evident in previous approvals for gratuity and death benefits.
The governor's special adviser on media and publicity, Yahaya Sarki, confirmed the approval in a statement issued on January 15, 2025.
