Kebbi State Governor Appoints 65 New Aides

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has expanded his administration by appointing additional aides and donating millions of naira to various groups in the state.

The governor added four more Special Assistants to the Yoruba community in the state, bringing the total number of Yoruba Assistants to six. This move is seen as a gesture of goodwill and friendship towards the Yoruba community in Kebbi.

During a solidarity visit to the Government House, Governor Idris praised the Yoruba community for their contributions to the development of the state. He also donated N5 million to the community for transportation purposes and promised to assist in the construction of a Unity Hall in Birnin Kebbi.

In another development, Governor Idris appointed all 27 former Sole Administrators of Development Areas in the state as Senior Special Assistants (SSAs). This appointment is an interim measure pending the conclusion of a special scheme prepared for them by the governor.

The governor also received a solidarity visit from the inhabitants of Zuru Emirate resident in Birnin Kebbi. During the visit, Governor Idris announced plans to flag off the construction of the KoKo-Mahuta-Dabai road in January to ease transportation hardship in the area.

In furtherance of the inclusiveness of his administration, Governor Idris appointed 65 additional APC supporters as Special Assistants. The appointees include 15 persons with disabilities, 50 musicians, artists, and dramatists.

The governor's efforts to promote unity and development in Kebbi State have been acknowledged by various groups, including the Yoruba community and the inhabitants of Zuru Emirate.
