"Kebbi Humanitarian Commissioner Advises Residents to Switch Off Electric Appliances While Sleeping to Prevent Disasters".

The Honourable Commissioner for the Ministry of Humanitarian and Empowerment Affairs, Hon. Muhammad Hamidu Jarkuka, has called on the people of Kebbi State to switch off their electric appliances while sleeping to prevent disasters. This appeal is part of the state government's efforts to ensure the protection of lives and properties across the 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state.

According to Hon. Jarkuka, the Kebbi State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency Comrade Governor Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran-Gwandu, will take preventive measures to inform communities about the dangers of electricity-related fires. "Our government will take preventive measures to inform the community to make sure that NEPA Electricity does not cause fire inferno due to higher voltage or any fault that may occur naturally," he stated.

Hon. Jarkuka also expressed gratitude to the Governor for his investment in the Electricity Restoration Project, which has reached almost 80% completion in the Arewa Local Government. He made this appeal during a conversation with Musa Garba Augie, Director General and Special Assistant in the field of Information Broadcasting.

The Commissioner's call to action aims to promote safety and prevent electricity-related disasters in Kebbi State. By switching off electric appliances while sleeping, residents can significantly reduce the risk of fires and ensure their safety and the safety of their properties.
