NOA Assures Nigerians of President Tinubu's Commitment to Addressing Tax Reform Bill Concerns

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has reassured Nigerians that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has fully comprehended the concerns surrounding the Tax Reform Bill and will take necessary actions to address them.

Speaking at a news briefing in Birnin Kebbi, the Director, Documentation, Translation and Presentation, Mr. John Bala Asate, who represented the Director-General of the Agency, Mr. Lanre Isa, emphasized that President Tinubu is a listening leader who has mandated the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation to engage in consultations with lawmakers and stakeholders to find a solution.

The briefing marked the commencement of a national public sensitization campaign on Security Awareness, HIV/AIDS, Human Rights, Get-rich-quick Syndrome, and the Tax Reform Bill. The program is being held simultaneously in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to promote a more secure and ethical society.

Asate highlighted some of the government's efforts to address pressing national issues. "Anti-retroviral drugs in our hospitals are free for persons living with HIV to halt the spread of the disease," he said. "Security is top on the agenda of the Tinubu administration, with a focus on improving training and collaboration among security forces, as well as providing necessary equipment."

The NOA DG also commended Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State for his achievements in transforming the state. The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Mallam Yahaya Sarki, praised the NOA for its effective public enlightenment efforts and requested the agency's support in showcasing the governor's accomplishments.

Other speakers at the briefing included the NUJ National Zonal Vice Chairman, Northwest, Tukur Dutsinmari, and the Kebbi State NUJ Chairman, Comrade Garba Yeldu.
