N679 Million Allocation to Boost Water, Skill Acquisition in Bauchi Constituency

A member representing Ningi Warji Federal Constituency of Bauchi State in the House of Representatives, Adamu Hashimu Ranga, has unveiled plans to spend N679 million on water and skill acquisition centres in his constituency.

He disclosed this while fielding questions from journalists in Bauchi, stating that N100 million will be used to build three well-equipped skill acquisition centres in Ningi, Warji, and Burra. Additionally, N70 million will provide potable water to the Tabla community.

Ranga emphasized his commitment to reducing hunger, hardship, and unemployment in his constituency. Recently, N8.5 million was spent on distributing food items, including maize, rice, and millet to households.

He sponsored 42 youths to learn basic skills such as solar installations, DSTV, CCTV, software, and hardware, as well as mobile money business. The lawmaker also earmarked N100 million for building skill acquisition centers.

Ranga sponsored two bills for the creation of the Federal College of Agriculture in Ningi and Federal College of Education in Warji, which have scaled through the first and second reading in the National Assembly.

He secured the construction of classrooms, offices, and health centres in his constituency. These interventions are part of his constituency initiatives, reaffirming his commitment to fulfilling campaign promises.

The Reps member outlined future interventions in agriculture, industrialization, micro-business empowerment, and youth and women empowerment. These plans will be captured in the 2025 budget, requiring stakeholders' support.

"Our vision is to create a prosperous Ningi Warji Federal Constituency through human and natural resource utilization," Ranga said. He has over N500 million in skill acquisition materials to empower constituents.

The empowerment aims to alleviate poverty, hardship, and starvation. Ranga urged beneficiaries to use the items judiciously, distributing laptops, monie-points, sewing machines, dryers, generators, and cash.

He called on those not considered in this phase to exercise patience, ensuring the materials' purposeful use.
