Minister of Works, Sen. Umahi, Arrives in Kebbi State for Flag-Off of Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway Construction

The Honourable Minister of Works, Sen. Nweze David Umahi, has arrived in Kebbi State alongside his entourage in preparation for the flag-off ceremony of the 258 km, 3-lane single carriageway construction of the Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway. This project falls under Contract No. 8663 and features a continuously reinforced concrete pavement.

The Renewed Hope administration of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR has initiated the construction of the 1068 km Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, commencing from Illela Local Government Area of Sokoto State. On October 24, 2024, the Governor of Sokoto State, Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, represented the President at the flag-off ceremony for Section I, Phase 1A, a 3-lane single carriageway.

Today, October 25, 2024, Sen. Umahi will lead dignitaries to the flag-off of Section II, Phase 2A, covering 258 km of the Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway in Kebbi State. The event will take place at Gulume town, starting at 10:00 am. To catch the live coverage, tune in to TVC and Arise TV at 10:00 am.
