Kebbi State Government Launches Free Healthcare Program for Rural Communities

Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State - The Kebbi State Government has launched a free healthcare program aimed at providing medical services to rural communities across the state.
The program, tagged "Rural Health Initiative," will provide free medical consultations, treatments, and medications to residents of rural areas, with a focus on maternal and child health, malaria, and other prevalent diseases.
According to the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jafar Muhammad, the program is designed to bridge the healthcare gap between urban and rural areas, ensuring that everyone has access to quality healthcare services.
"The Rural Health Initiative is a key component of our healthcare reform agenda," Dr. Muhammad said. "We are committed to ensuring that every citizen of Kebbi State has access to quality healthcare, regardless of their location or socio-economic status."
The program will be implemented in partnership with non-governmental organizations, community health workers, and traditional leaders to ensure its success.
