A prominent supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from Bauchi State, Khamis Musa Darazo, has pledged his September salary to support the completion of the National Library project championed by First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu. Darazo described the donation as his personal contribution to education, literacy, and the preservation of Nigeria's intellectual heritage.
"The National Library is not just a building, it is a symbol of Nigeria's intellectual pride and a legacy that will inspire generations," Darazo said in a press release. According to him, the gesture was a way of reaffirming his commitment to President Tinubu's vision for a prosperous Nigeria.
Darazo emphasized the importance of education in national development, stating, "This gesture is not just about books and buildings. It is about standing with the First Lady and Mr. President in their mission to build a better Nigeria. Education is the backbone of development, and I am proud to contribute to that vision."
The National Library project, designed to serve as Nigeria's premier repository of knowledge, has faced repeated funding setbacks since its inception decades ago. Darazo believes that once completed, the library will stand as a beacon of learning and national pride, aligning with Senator Remi Tinubu's passion for education and youth empowerment.
"The project's completion will be a significant milestone in promoting education and literacy in Nigeria," Darazo noted.
