"Get Your PVC: Eligible Voters Told to Register Without Delay, Says Jombali"

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Enlightenment and Orientation, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar Jombali, has called on all eligible voters in Kebbi State who are yet to register to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) without delay. Jombali emphasized that every PVC is a powerful tool that gives citizens a voice in governance and ensures that their will is reflected in the government.

Speaking after a stakeholders' meeting at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Dakingari, Suru Local Government Area, Jombali stressed that no one should sit on the sidelines when the destiny of the state and nation is at stake. "Credible elections begin with credible voter registration," he reminded, urging leaders to sustain the push for registration throughout the one-year period.

INEC has opened a fresh window for Nigerians to register, combining physical registration at local government offices with online options. Jombali challenged political stakeholders to go beyond rhetoric and actively mobilize their supporters to register. "Voter registration is not optional; it is the bedrock of democracy and the duty of every eligible citizen," he said firmly.

The Adviser lauded the State Government for supporting awareness campaigns across the state, stressing that civic participation cannot thrive without consistent enlightenment. He also commended INEC for the ample timeframe and urged the Commission to consider extending registration centers to ward levels for easier access.

Jombali equally applauded the National Orientation Agency (NOA) for its role in sensitizing communities, assuring that the State Government will continue to partner with relevant agencies to ensure no eligible voter is left behind. "Democracy cannot be outsourced. It begins with you — with your decision to walk into a registration center or log into the portal to secure your PVC," he emphasized.

The message is clear: every ballot cast tomorrow depends on every registration done today. Eligible voters are urged not to delay, but to register, collect their PVCs, own their voices, and shape their tomorrow.
