Kebbi ADC Supports Coalition to Unseat APC in 2027 Elections

The Kebbi State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has thrown its weight behind a coalition of Nigerian political parties seeking to adopt the ADC as the leading opposition platform to challenge the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections.

Engr. Bala Sufiyanu, Chairman of the ADC in Kebbi State, made this known in a statement, formally informing the people of Kebbi State and Nigerians across the country of the party's endorsement of the alliance.

"We wholeheartedly support the coalition of Nigerian political parties that seeks to adopt our ADC as the leading opposition platform to challenge the APC in the 2027 elections," Sufiyanu said. "We are prepared and committed to working collaboratively to ensure the removal of the APC from power in 2027."

In a significant development, Sufiyanu announced that he is formally withdrawing a legal suit he had previously filed against the National Leadership of the ADC. The suit, which had progressed to the Supreme Court of Nigeria, was withdrawn in the interest of fostering unity within the party and ensuring the success of the coalition.

"I would like to use this opportunity to announce that, as one of those who previously took legal action against the National Leadership of our ADC, an action that progressed to the Supreme Court of Nigeria, I am now formally withdrawing that suit," Sufiyanu said.

Sufiyanu expressed his gratitude to Dr. Abubakar Malami, SAN, CON, former Minister of Justice of Nigeria, for the valuable advice he offered, which encouraged him to withdraw the legal case.

The ADC in Kebbi State is optimistic about the prospects of the coalition and is committed to working towards achieving victory in the 2027 elections. "May Almighty God bless the ADC in Kebbi State and throughout Nigeria," Sufiyanu prayed.

The development is a significant boost to the ADC's chances in the 2027 elections, and the party's supporters are hopeful that the coalition will help bring about a change in Nigeria's political landscape
