Gov. Uba Sani Approves 3 Hectares For Mechanic Village In Zaria
By Jibirin, Zaria

ZARIA - Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has approved the allocation of three hectares of land to the Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association of Nigeria, NATA, Zaria Branch, for the development of a standard mechanic village.
The approval came in response to a request by the association for a permanent site to enable its members to expand their businesses and deliver better services in a structured environment.
The offer letter was presented to the association’s executives by the Director General of the Kaduna State Geographic Information Service, KADGIS, Dr. Bashir Garba Ibrahim.
Speaking after receiving the document, the Chairman of NATA, Zaria Branch, Engr. Magaji Muhammad Dangaladima, Fagacin Zazzau, expressed gratitude to the state government.
“We are deeply appreciative of this gesture by the Kaduna State Government under the leadership of Senator Uba Sani. This is a major boost for our association and our members,” Engr. Dangaladima said.
He added that the new site would provide technicians with the opportunity to operate in a more organized and dignified setting. “For years we have been appealing for a permanent place where we can upgrade our businesses and improve service delivery. This approval has finally given us that hope,” he said.
Dr. Bashir Garba Ibrahim, while presenting the offer letter, said the allocation aligns with the state government’s policy to support small-scale enterprises and artisans.
“The government recognizes the important role automobile technicians play in our economy. This land allocation is intended to create a conducive environment for them to thrive,” Dr. Ibrahim stated.
He noted that the establishment of the mechanic village is expected to achieve multiple benefits for the state. “This project will enhance the operations of our technicians, stimulate economic activities in Zaria, create employment opportunities for our people, and contribute to the overall development of Kaduna State,” he said.
The mechanic village, when completed, will provide workshops, spare parts outlets, and other support facilities for automobile technicians in the area.
