The Federal Fire Service, Kaduna State Command, has pledged to deepen collaboration with market stakeholders to improve fire safety and productivity in commercial areas across the state. The commitment was made when officials of the Traders of Kaduna State Central Association paid a courtesy visit to the Command’s headquarters in Kaduna this week.
The delegation was led by the Chairman of the Association, Alhaji Abdulrazak Bala Adamu, and was received by the State Controller, DCF Aminu Amadu, alongside members of the Command’s management team. Discussions during the meeting focused on strengthening partnership and increasing fire safety awareness among traders, marketers and staff of the Command.
Alhaji Abdulrazak welcomed the new State Controller to Kaduna and assured him of the association’s continued support. “We welcome you to Kaduna State and we assure you of our continuous support and cooperation. The safety of our markets is our collective responsibility,” he said.
As a show of appreciation, the association presented an Award of Recognition to the State Controller for his commitment to service delivery. The chairman also requested regular fire safety and productivity awareness programmes for traders. “We are requesting regular productivity awareness programmes to enhance the safety of traders and ensure efficiency in market operations. Our people need to be properly sensitized on fire prevention,” he said.

In his response, the State Controller, DCF Aminu Amadu, commended the association for maintaining a cordial relationship with the Command. “We appreciate your efforts in sustaining a good working relationship with the Federal Fire Service. The Command remains committed to sustained collaboration with your association in promoting professionalism, productivity, and effective service delivery,” he said.
He added that the Command would work with the association to organize more sensitization campaigns in markets across the state to reduce fire incidents and protect lives and property. The visit ended with both parties agreeing to establish a joint working framework for regular engagement and training.
