BREAKING: Fake PFIPC DG Adeniyi Adeyemi Arrested After Court Issues Warrant
By Our Correspondent
Security operatives have arrested Adeniyi Adeyemi, the man parading himself as Director-General of the non-existent Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, PFIPC.
The arrest was effected shortly after Justice Mohammed Umar of the Federal High Court in Abuja signed a bench warrant authorising his detention.
Adeyemi has for months presented himself as head of PFIPC, an organisation with no recognition by the Federal Government.
Court documents indicated that Justice Umar issued the warrant following a case in which Adeyemi’s activities were brought under judicial scrutiny.
With the execution of the court order, the suspect is now in custody and expected to be arraigned.
Authorities have not yet released further details on the charges, but sources said investigations into the operations of the bogus council are ongoing.
